Date
On 1st of August, Alice Chan, the registered architect from APU, and volunteer staffs walked with nearly 20 children from Chesterfield Effective Learning Centre along the pedestrian footbridge from Wanchai MTR to HKCEC. It would be followed by a workshop where they could illustrate ideas by completing the worksheet. The purpose of the summer course was to introduce how architects work and improve the children's knowledge on architectural design.
Although walking in hot weather, all the children showed great enthusiasm when listening to the guided tour about local culture and history of Wan Chai, which also highlighted the distinctive architectural feature of several specific buildings and places.
